What we move
Poultry cargo, and only poultry cargo.
A frozen load, a tray of eggs and a pallet of feed each need a different vehicle. That focus is the point.

Usual transport fell through?
We're your overflow capacity. When your own vehicles are busy, your regular transporter is fully booked, or a truck cancels on a Friday afternoon, send us the load and we start calling carriers straight away. Same-day loads depend on a suitable carrier being available, and we'll tell you honestly if one isn't.

Carrier checks
Every carrier is checked before their first load.
We check these documents and keep copies on file. Carriers also agree in writing that they're responsible for your goods in transit, and that they won't pass your load on to anyone else.
On chilled and frozen loads, the driver photographs the temperature reading at pickup and at delivery, and we send you both photos.

Do you own trucks?
No. The Poultry Guy is a transport broker. We arrange your load with an independent carrier we've checked, and manage it from booking to delivery. The carrier is responsible for your goods in transit and must hold goods-in-transit insurance.
What does a quote include?
Transport, fuel and tolls for the route, the right vehicle, and reasonable loading and offloading time. If an extra could apply, such as waiting time beyond the included time, it's stated on the quote before you book.
How do I pay?
New customers pay by EFT before collection. We send the invoice with your booking confirmation, so an instant EFT clears in minutes, even for urgent loads. Regular customers can apply for account terms.
What happens if something goes wrong?
We tell you straight away and work on a fix. If a carrier cancels or is delayed, we look for a replacement. If goods arrive damaged, note it on the delivery note and let us know, and we'll handle the claim with the carrier and its insurer.
